That would've been my big milestone, cutting into all that fabric.abi's momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10539549711862510375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24352366.post-1146664968278478322006-05-03T10:02:00.000-04:002006-05-03T10:02:00.000-04:00Isn't a sexy leprachaun an oxymoron? I sewed some major seams last night, and (as evidenced above) did some tucking and pleating.

The goal for today is to try to find 3 inch wide velvet ribbon to do the chevrons (thingies on the sleeves) so I don't have to try to figure out how to finish those edges.

I will tell you that in my search for that product online I found THIS helpful craft project I thought I'd share:

http://www.ehow.com/how_15057_create-sexy-leprechaun.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24352366.post-1146598941045879912006-05-02T15:42:00.000-04:002006-05-02T15:42:00.000-04:00Good luck with that.Good luck with that.abi's momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10539549711862510375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24352366.post-1146595901447678622006-05-02T14:51:00.000-04:002006-05-02T14:51:00.000-04:00Yay mom! Fullness is released at the end of the stitching. Tucks and pleats are similar, but tucks are smaller, often being only an inch or less in width. Often a number of tucks are made in the same area. Sometimes they are turned to the outside of a garment as ornamentation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24352366.post-1146576878150382112006-05-02T09:34:00.000-04:002006-05-02T09:34:00.000-04:00hmmmm....good question. I thought pleats definately involved folding the fabric over itself. Aren't tucks what you take in to help contour a shirt to make it fit better?

Doesn't Patti know?abi's momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10539549711862510375noreply@blogger.com
