VERDIGRIS PATINA

I have this ugly, old pipe sticking up in the middle of my front garden. It is the well cap but we no longer use the well and even when we did I tried many creative ways to hide it. Today I painted it with a verdigris patina and placed this weather vein (a JoAnn's find) on top. So far it's my best solution. I plan on planting some more around it to camouflage it even better. It has been an unbelievably nice April here. It feels more like June but I think that's about to change!

I MISS YOU ALL! Love, Patti

oh YAY!
I love the fact the blog is back -- I've been feeling guilty that its been languishing but pictures of my proposals arent' too exciting. Let's dust this puppy off!

I love the way that looks -- having seen previous versions of the well stem coverup, I think this is a great solution. It looks awesome.

I looked at the picture first, before reading, and thought "wow, that's cool! I want that!" So I think you can consider your well stem camouflaged.

And I'm so glad that the blog is back! I've actually been doing knitting, but it's not done and until it's blocked it'll continue to look like hell, so....but now that Zack often takes a 2-3 hour nap in the morning, I may do a little sewing, too.

I'm glad you like it! The more I look at it, the more I like it.

It feels good to be blogging again!

Patti--

Eck sez I should write in and give you the mad props you deserve for the sweet pipe solution, as well as for the masthead pic, both of which are fantastic!
