What is this ? Some may think it's a hat gone terribly astray. After all, Chuck has a big head but this is ridiculous. Note to self -next time pay attention to gauge. Admittedly the most dreaded word in all of knitting.
It is not a hat at all. It is a basket before it was felted. I think it turned out pretty good and it was really fun to knit. Next to the basket is a felted needle cozy, which was even more fun and a whole lot faster to knit. Think of the possibilities for color combinations for both projects.

In my excitement to share my new projects, I forgot to name the post and I forgot to say it was from me. Silly me!
oh my goodness I just love it! Look at you go!
You can log back in and edit the post, to make it entitled whatever you want!
I want to retire.
Those things are so cool! You know, when I saw the size of the "hat" the first thing I thought was "can you felt it?" Love the before & after pics!
You both should retire! It is the BEST!
she's just got to rub it in, doesn't she?
I want company to play with.
I made significant progress last night people -- after finding the velvet ribbon in a fabric store coup (exactly the right amount on the bolt -- it was meant to be!) I applied the "chevrons" and sewed the sleeves. Its really looking good!
Too soon to celebrate though -- the zipper in next (insert scary music here)
Trust me, I want to retire too.
Can we have a visual progress report, KDH?
Yes yes -- I will take pictures tonight!
I hope my zipper arrives soon. The whole thing is goign to look pretty silly if I have to sew him into his robe ...
What's the due date for this adventure of a project?
And how big of a zipper did you need that you had to order it???
well, graduation is next weekend, but since I'm travelling next week, its basically tomorrow. OR something like that.
36"!!!
Now that's a zipper!
