not in her right mind?

Shopping for a new knitting project is a dicey thing to do alone. Here's what I purchased, and I was excited about it at the time. That quickly evaporated, when after my sale was completed, the saleswomen (resplendent in belly rolls, moustache and smokers rasp) shared with me that SHE had just made the very same thing!

The pattern is for a "cap sleeve shell" made out of ribbon yarn. The yarn (also pictured) is shades of rust, dark blue (Erica blue some might call it) and uggy green varigated.

It might be horrible. Please let me know. And by the way, that's NOT me in the picture.

you KNOW I'm just jealous of the steel yarn tank project and was trying to find something similarly fun. Dang!!

The steel is pretty cool, huh? The steel is on hold for a minute because I need to rip out 6 rows. Maybe by the time I'm 80 I'll be able to read directions....

So is the sweater that the model (not you)is wearing using the same colorway that you're using? It seems like your yarn is darker. You could always add another strand of something to make it funkier and unlike the same thing the charming cashier made.

yeah, my yarn is darker. Is the whole thing just too fuddy to be cool?

she (the model who isn't me) does look a little constipated.

Perhaps a cooler tank pattern?

You're repeating yourself, m'dear.

It's bordering on fuddy. A tank might be better. I can send you my pattern--you'll just have to figure out if you need to adjust the size or not. And gauge. And, oh, maybe you should look for your own pattern.

Ribbon yarn tends to be a bit 'springy' and I don't mean the season.

I'm getting the distinct impression that Scott isn't so big on your pattern choice, K.

That's it. the project is dead. DEAD!

are the sleeves knitted separately? if so you could just not put the sleeves on....

Or you could just kill the project and be done with it.
